Congratulations to Paddy Nolan, Leoni Ward, Aine Crowe and Clodagh Dunne who recently travelled to Galway Lawn Tennis Club to take part in the Irish Carlton national championships.

Paddy Nolan won the Under-13 singles title which is a fantastic achievement for such a young player, with hopefully many more titles for him to follow.

Well done to Leoni Ward and Aine Crowe who were runners-up in the Under-13 ladies' doubles.

Leoni was also runner-up in the ladies' singles, losing to Sophie Noble in two straight games.

Clodagh Dunne was the winner of the Under-17 ladies' doubles and mixed doubles.

She partnered Beth Stevenson in the doubles and Kyle McGee in the mixed. Clodagh, although a young player, is no stranger to success.

Well done to the Wexford Class 4 team which is through to the semi-finals of the inter-county competition. Wexford travelled to the Carlow Lawn Tennis Club to take part in the preliminary rounds.

First up were Kildare and Wexford won 6-1. In the second round Wexford played a very strong Dublin team and won on a scoreline of 4-3. Wexford qualified as group winners and will face Wicklow in the semi-finals.

Wexford: Ciarán Doyle, Nicky Sinnott, Declan Carroll, Polly McNiven, Chantel Rowe, Helen Butler, Aimee Butler and Clodagh Dempsey.
