Woodsmen secure Kinch Cup honours

The William Kinch Cup and Michael Furlong Shield was held in Páirc Mhuire on Thursday night.

The William Kinch Cup, for Division 1, was won by the Woodsmen, beating Gouleyduff 2-0. The Michael Furlong Shield saw Monart 'B' beat Doran's Bridge 'B' 2-0.

At the halfway stage of the Wexford League, the standings are as follows - Division 1: Woodsmen, 19 points; Doran's Bridge 'A', 14 points; Monart 'A', nine points.

Division 2: Vinegar Hill, twelve points; The Ballagh, eleven points; Curracloe and Monart 'B', eight points each; Doran's Bridge 'B', three points.

The Division 1 doubles will be held on Tuesday, July 14, with the singles taking place on Wednesday, July 15. Both will start at 7 p.m.

The Anthony Larkin open doubles will be held in the league field on Saturday, July 18, at 7 p.m. There will be no league action this week, with the singles and doubles taking place instead.
