Provincial fixtures for 2014 revealed

WEXFORD'S PROVINCIAL under-age fixtures for 2014 were announced at last Wednesday night's County Board meeting.

In Under-21 football Wexford have a home game against Offaly, with the winners versus Kildare, and then on to Meath or Louth.

Wexford are away to Kilkenny in Under-21 hurling with the winners facing Offaly.

Not for the first time Wexford have a home meeting with Cavan in the Junior football championship, while the Minor footballers are home to Louth.

In the opening round of the Minor hurling championship, Wexford face Dublin, with the winners playing Kilkenny or Laois.

It was also decided that Wexford would enter the 2014 Leinster Intermediate hurling championship.

Gusserane's Kevin Kehoe has been appointed for a third term in charge of the Wexford Under-21 football team.

Having won a first-ever provincial title in his initial year, Kehoe will be joined by his existing backroom team.

Meanwhile, J.J. Doyle will take charge of the Wexford Under-21 hurlers for a second term.
