THE new entrance road to Wexford Rugby Club and Páirc Charman cannot be opened to the public until it is handed over to Wexford Borough Council.
Acting county manager Adrian Doyle told Cllr Jim Allen that the slip road is not the council's road.
'It is the contractor's road. It will not be handed over to us until such time as the contractor is satisfied that it is completed to the required standard,' he said.
He added that it is expected the road will be handed over by the end of November.
Cllr Allen had said that as Mayor last year, he was guaranteed that the new road would be opened in May and then June. He informed the clubs of these dates.
