Female boss for leading rugby club

ONE OF the last male bastions in a sporting sense has been broken down with the appointment of Stellah Sinnott as manager of the Enniscorthy firsts rugby team.
The All-Ireland winning Senior camogie boss from 2007 has been involved behind the scenes with the Ross Road club for many years in a first aid capacity, and her elevation has been welcomed by team captain Graham Murphy.
'Stellah knows what it takes to win and she is no fool and will be a very good manager,' he said.
It is the first time for a female to be chosen as a Senior rugby manager in Co. Wexford.
The new boss is a sporting all-rounder and has appeared on 'The Sunday Game' television programme in recent weeks as a camogie analyst.
She is currently coaching the St. Ibar's-Shelmalier camogie team which is managed by one of her sideline colleagues from 2007, Alan Aherne, while she has also enjoyed considerable success in hockey and golf.
