Bridge Rovers bow out

O’Neill's LFA Junior Cup

Bridge Rovers bowed out of the O'Neill's LFA Junior Cup at the third round stage when they suffered the heartache of a penalty shoot-out defeat against Rivervalley Rangers at The Bogside on Sunday.

The visitors held a 1-0 advantage at the interval thanks to a Ronan Murtagh strike but, despite being reduced to ten men, the Castlebridge side fought back to force extra-time with Daniel Murphy grabbing the equaliser. However, things didn't go their way in the shoot-out, with the Dubliners coming out on top.
