BRIDGE ROVERS B caused the shock of the day in the second round of the Aircon Mech Wexford Cup, overcoming Division 1 high-flyers Wexford Bohs 1-0.

John Ryan got the all-important goal for the Division 3A side, converting a twice-taken penalty with 15 minutes remaining to send his side through.

Premier Division side Shamrock Rovers recorded a comfortable 5-0 win over St. Joseph's, with Eamonn O'Brien netting a hat-trick and James Carthy scoring a double.

Fellow Enniscorthy side Moyne Rangers also eased through, seeing off Duncannon B 6-0 with goals from Barry Nolan (2), Pa O'Rourke (2), Mossy Whelan and an own goal.

St. Leonards proved too strong for Courtown B, winning 4-1 thanks to a Matty Flynn hat-trick and a Nicky Cahill penalty, and Campile edged out Fastnet 3-2 with goals from Paddy Murphy, Ciarán Parle and Eoin Rowe.

A goal from Seán Lambert was enough for Cloughbawn to edge out Rathnure and earn the local bragging rights, while Ferns United B shocked Taghmon 4-2 with goals from Dickie Redmond (2), Tomás Tonks and Gerry Davitt.

Tony Cleere gave Ferns C a shock lead against New Ross Celtic but the holders made sure there was to be no upset, eventually winning 5-1.

Bunclody needed extra-time to edge out All Blacks B 2-1 thanks to goals from Rory O'Brien and Keith O'Hara, and Crossabeg C beat Gorey Rangers C 1-0 with Liam Doyle getting the goal.

Bridge Rovers booked their place in the third round with a 6-2 win over Fastnet Rovers B, with the goals coming from Shane Murphy (2), M.J. Reck (2), Derek Walsh and Bill Goucher.

Darren Morris, Robert Zaloga and Ian Pearce were on the mark for Rosslare Rangers B as they overcame Gorey Rangers B 3-0, and North End ran out emphatic 80 winners against St. Leonards B with goals from Alan Colgate (3), Kyle Dempsey (2), Craig Maguire, Keith Furlong and Donal O'Leary.

Duncannon were also amongst the goals, beating Blackwater 7-0 with strikes from Lloyd Colfer (2), Dean Molloy (2), Paul Diskin, Tom Elmes and Martin Nolan, while a Stephen O'Connor penalty was enough for Curracloe to see off Orrill.

Rosslare Rangers came out on top in an all-Premier Division tie, beating Forth Celtic 4-2 with goals from Paul Culleton, Mick Burke, Mark Furlong and Aaron Kehoe.

Derek Thorpe was the matchwinner for Ferns United as they edged out Gorey Celtic 1-0, and Peter Marsden netted both goals for Park Hotspur in their 2-1 win over Raheen.

Gorey Rangers beat Bunclody B 6-0 with goals from Gary Murphy (2), Stephen Murphy, Joe Bolger, Emmet Gregan and Glen Hughes, and St. Michael's beat Coolgreany on penalties after a 1-1 draw with Greg O'Rourke scoring for Coolgreany.

Division 2A leaders Stoney Rovers were much too good for Campile's second string, comfortably progressing after a 7-0 win with goals from Keith Kearney (3), Willie Lambert, Stephen Bennett, Anton Stafford and an own goal.

Stoney Rovers B beat Ajax 3-1 thanks to a Shane Cahill hat-trick, while Shelburne overcame Kilmore United by the same scoreline with Mark Doyle on target for the losers.

Corach Ramblers saw off Moyne Rangers C 5-0 and New Ross Town beat Rosslare Port 2-0, while Crossabeg were handed a walkover by Cloughbawn's third team.

Meanwhile, in Sunday's only first round encounter, All Blacks B beat North End B 3-0 with goals from Graham Healy (2) and Frank Staples.
