Bunclody close the gap on the leaders

BUNCLODY MOVED to within six points of leaders Adamstown with two games in hand after a 4-2 win over bottom side Taghmon United on Sunday.

Rory O'Brien netted a double for the winners, with Timmy Bolger and Thomas Byrne grabbing the other goals.

North End, who have six games in hand on the leaders, continued their title push with a narrow win over Bridge Rovers. A second-half goal from Kieran Kelly was enough to earn them the three points.

New Ross Town and Wexford Bohs had to settle for a point apiece, with Anthony Rossiter netting a double for Town and Jay Murphy and Paddy Harnett replying for Bohs, while St. Leonards and All Blacks drew 1-1.

Elsewhere, Eoin Parker was amongst the scorers for Curracloe as they saw off Crossabeg 3-1, with Alex Wilson getting the goal for the losers.
