Celtic sink Stoneyford
NEW ROSS Celtic transferred their fantastic Premier Division form to the FAI Junior Cup when they easily accounted for Stoneyford F.C. in their first round encounter on Sunday.
The Wexford champions chalked up a comprehensive 5-0 win with Mark Lee netting a hat-trick and Damien 'Fee' Cullen and Philip Drohan adding a goal apiece.
Park Hotspur also had no problem in finding the net as they overcame fellow Wexford side Duncanon 4-0. Jay Leniston scored a double for the Wexford town side, with Warren Murphy and Seán Mullins joining him on the scoresheet.
Elsewhere, Moyne Rangers came through an eventful tie to see off Evergreen 6-5 on penalties after extra-time.
The game had ended 1-1 with Jamie Fox scoring for Moyne but the drama didn't end there as Rangers played the last 30 of the 90 with nine men and all of extra-time with eight after having three players sent off.
