Wexford Youths make the journey up the M11 on Friday evening to face a resurgent Shelbourne side who have stormed their way to 3rd place in the SSE Airtricity First Division.

Shelbourne have picked up 22 points from a possible 27 since May 8, scoring 17 goals in 9 games along the way. Youths manager Shane Keegan is well aware of the challenge ahead on Friday night

'Shelbourne's current form is extremely impressive and we know that they will be full of confidence ahead of this game. Last time out for us against Athlone, we didn't perform and were rightly punished. You'll see a marked difference in our performance and if we do our own job well, we're confident of picking up points.'

Youths go into this match without Stephen Last. Stephen is sidelined for the remainder of the season after suffering lateral knee ligament damage in a clash with Athlone Towns Daniel Purdy.

He joins Dean Broaders (achilles) on the sideline for the remainder of the season. Aidan Keenan is closer to a return and is 3 weeks away from a return to first team action.

Conor Whittle (hamstring), Conor English (flu) and Lee Grace (knee) are doubts and will be assessed closer to kick off. New signing Willie Tyrrell will go straight into the match day squad.

Kick off in Tolka Park is set for 7.45pm.
