Lee Chin's debut may have added to the gate at Ferrycarrig Park on Friday, but it wasn't enough to prevent another defeat for Wexford Youths in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.

Wexford Youths 1 Bray Wanderers 3

The talented all-rounder gave an assured display for the most part at centre-back, with a yellow card the only blemish. His touch and positional awareness were top notch for somebody who hasn't played for so long, but that didn't stop Bray Wanderers from forging a 3-1 win.

They led 1-0 at the break after Mark Salmon netted the rebound after Graham Doyle saved from Jason Marks in the 21st minute.

Ger Pender doubled the lead after latching on to Andrew O'Connor's weak backpass in the 60th minute, and Kevin Lynch made it three from Karl Moore's through ball 13 minutes later.

Shane Dempsey scored a consolation for Youths when netminder Peter Cherrie fisted an Andrew O'Connor corner into his path in the 87th minute.

With Longford Town losing to Bohemians and the Finn Harps game postponed, the position remains the same at the foot of the table, with Youths four points below Harps and six above Longford.

They now await a new date for the tough trip to meet Cork City, postponed next Friday due to the latter's FAI Cup semi-final two days later.
