Wexford Youths have a quick turn around to face Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght Stadium on Monday night, off the back of a much-needed victory over Longford on Friday.

Wexford Youths now sit a full 8 points clear of bottom-placed Longford Town, and can now look above them to Bray Wanderers who are just two points ahead.

The win has once again boosted Wexford's confidence and Shane Keegan goes into Monday night's game with belief that his side can cause an upset.

'Confidence is up again after Friday night's performance so we'll go to Tallaght with a real belief that we can get something from the game. We've had two cracking games against them so far and hopefully give them a real test again this time.'

'We need to keep clocking up the points now to try and keep Longford at arms length while we've also got one eye on reeling in one of the teams above us.'

Eric Molloy and Danny Ledwith are both ruled out due to injury, while Aidan Friel is now a doubt.

Kick off in Tallaght Stadium is set for 8pm
