Conor and Ryan shine on Leeside
We've been keeping readers informed of the exploits of Wexford sportsmen in Cork recently, concentrating on the crew lining out in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division at Turner's Cross.
However, a switch of codes reveals that another man with strong Slaneyside roots is also making an impact on the Gaelic football scene. Conor Kinsella, son of former Wexford hurling manager Rory, is now playing his club football with recent county champions Ballincollig.
They made a flying start to the local league campaign with three straight wins, and the former HWH-Bunclody performer scored a goal in one key game to quickly endear himself to the Ballincollig faithful.
Moving back to soccer, one of Cork City's Wexford contingent was also on target Friday night as centre-half Ryan Delaney (pictured) grabbed one of the goals in their runaway 4-0 win over the Galway side managed by his former boss in Ferrycarrig Park, Shane Keegan,
Ethan Boyle from Wexford town also registered his first goal of the season in Finn Harps' 5-3 defeat to Bray Wanderers, a consolation strike in a high-scoring clash.
