McLoughlin double knocks out holders

Taghmon United ended Bunclody's hopes of winning the Neil O'Sullivan Cup for a third year in succession when they came out on top in a hard-fought quarter-final on Sunday.

A Seamie McLoughlin goal after just three minutes gave Taghmon the upper hand, and McLoughlin grabbed his second with ten minutes remaining to seal a 2-0 win.

Adamstown joined them in the final four by beating Forth Celtic 5-4 on penalties after a scoreless draw.

John Staples was the match-winner for Corach Ramblers as they booked their semi-final spot.

Staples netted a double for Ramblers as they edged out Crossabeg 2-1 after extra-time.
