Defending champions North End United and last season's runners-up Shamrock Rovers both maintained their winning start to the campaign on Sunday.
The Sky Blues travelled to Ferns and had three points in their pocket on the return journey down the N11 with Paul Murphy continuing his hot scoring streak. The striker made it nine goals in three games by netting a double while his brother Jason also got in on the scoring act as the Wexford town side comfortably collected the spoils.
Shamrock Rovers registered their second 1-0 win in succession, seeing off Rosslare Rangers 1-0 thanks to a first-half strike from Danny O'Reilly.
There was goals galore in Curracloe as Gorey Rangers overcame the seasiders by the odd goal in five. David Behan, Jamie Howard and Mark Kinsella hit the net for the north county men with Colin Cleary and Stephen Maguire (penalty) getting on the scoresheet for Curracloe.
Campile United made the trip to Kilmore and came away with an impressive 4-1 victory.
The sides were deadlocked at 1-1 at the interval but Campile opened up in the second-half and put the hosts to the sword.
Peter Bolger, Johnny Keating, Jamie Meyler and David Saravikas scored for the visitors while Jason Malone replied for Kilmore.
Moyne Rangers and New Ross Celtic claimed a point apiece as they drew 1-1 in Enniscorthy.
A Ryan Mahon goal gave the home side a half-time lead but New Ross Celtic fought back after the break and Michael Grangel drew them level.
