Promoted side Corach Ramblers made the perfect start to life in Division 1 as they overcame Curracloe United, who plied their trade in the top flight last season, 3-2.

John Staples, Niall Harney and Darren Sinnott hit the back of the net for last season's Neil O'Sullivan Cup winners as they edged out the seasiders.

Near neighbours St. Leonards followed suit as goals from Adrian Flynn and Seán Ryan saw them edge out Forth Celtic 2-1.

Bridge Rovers eked out a 3-2 away win against Wexford Bohs, with Shane Murphy, Niall Murphy and Terry Gainfort on the mark for the Castlebridge outfit and Seán Pailing and Michael O'Rourke replying for the town side.

A Kevin Kenny goal was enough for Tombrack to win in Taghmon, while Ian Devlin grabbed the goal for St. Cormac's as they drew 1-1 with Ferns United.
