St. Leonards sink Kilmore
Wexford Football League: Division 1
St. Leonards began their Division 1 campaign in style as they travelled to take on Kilmore United, who were relegated from the top flight last season, and came away with a 5-3 victory.
Eoin Ryan and Ken Cahill both netted doubles for the visitors, with Seán Ryan grabbing their other goal and Graham Healy, Allen Colgate and Darren Naughton replying for Kilmore.
Seán Pailing netted a hat-trick for Wexford Bohs as they hit the Moyne Rangers second string for six. The Wexford town side ran out 6-2 winners, with Dermie Flood, Todd Hynes and Aaron Donovan also getting on the scoresheet, and Pa O'Rourke (penalty) and Paul Devereux replying for Moyne.
Eoin Rowe was the match winner for Campile United, grabbing a hat-trick to earn them a 3-1 win as they bid to bounce back to the Premier Division at the first time of asking.
Darragh Rossiter also helped himself to a treble as Forth Celtic overcame North End United 4-1. Peter Barry grabbed the other goal for the Murrintown men, with Dylan Walsh and Brandon Sinnott replying.
Rosslare Rangers, who made the drop after losing the relegation/promotion play-off last term, got off to a winning start, edging out Curracloe United 1-0, with Gearoid Byrne grabbing the all-important goal.
