U18s have a little extra
The Wexofrd Youths U18s recorded a very significant win when they defeated Dublin's Belvedere F.C. 4-2, after extra-time, in the Leinster Youths Cup.

They were still shaken from the dramatic loss to Letterkenny in the All-Ireland quarter-final two weeks earlier, when the Youths totally dominated the game, but failed to score - a tough experience for young lads to recover from.
They did not play as well against Belvedere as they did when losing 1-0 to Letterkenny, but what they did do was score four excellent goals. The first-half performance was solid and they led 1-0 at the interval, thanks to a beautiful finish from man of the match, Jordan Brett.
Belvedere started the better in the second-half as the Youths lost their way and it was no surprise when Belvedere got back into the game, thanks to two quick goals from James Wood and Dylan Coleman.
Disaster loomed for the Wexford boys but, to their credit, they fought their way back into the game and got back on level terms, courtesy of a lovely lob from Ivan Meegan.
The game went to extra-time. The Youths changed their shape, and went on to dominate from the re-start. Another good finish from Ivan Meegan and an exquisite lob from Darren Dempsey did the business. No Wexford side has ever won the Leinster Youths Cup - maybe, maybe…
