Wexford scored 4-5 without reply in the final 23 minutes to advance to the last twelve of the TG4 All Ireland Ladies Football Championship in Swords on Saturday afternoon.

Wexford 4-7 London 1-3

The Slaneysiders trailed 0-3 to 0-2 after a tight, turgid first half and fell further behind following Bridget Gallagher's goal four minutes after the restart.

However, Maria Byrne changed the game with a punched major from Niamh Mernagh's long ball three minutes later and from there Wexford dominated.

Substitute Niamh Butler found the net with an audacious effort from the right wing and Wexford went 3-2 to 0-3 ahead moments later when Katie Redmond beat London 'stopper Lucy Hawkes.

Caitriona Murray put the seal on a fine personal display with a late goal as Wexford sauntered to the finish line and a date on August 8th with the Ulster Intermediate Championship runners-up.
