Wexford Youths face Sligo Rovers in the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup this Friday night in Ferrycarrig Park, keen for revenge after a 5-0 drubbing at their hands two weeks ago.

Wexford have navigated their way to the third round of the competition after coasting past Firhouse Clover 3-0 in the previous round in May.

Sligo Rovers are on a monumental run of form, with recent wins over Cork City and Shamrock Rovers elevating them to fifth place in the league table.  With a lengthy injury list, Shane Keegan expects new faces to come into the starting XI on the night:

'We played Sligo two weeks ago and given the final score line it's easy to overlook the fact that for half an hour in the first half we played some of our best football of the season. We were shocking in the second half and were deservedly hammered in the end but there was actually a lot in the first half that we can try to build on this time around.'

'We're down a good few bodies due to injuries but that will open the door for others to step forward and try to make their mark.'

Danny Furlong, Paul Murphy, Eric Molloy and Chris Kenny are all injured for the game while Gary Delaney is a doubt.

Kick off in Ferrycarrig Park is set for 8pm
