Wexford Youths will have home comforts for the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup quarter-final as the draw has pitted them against Derry City in Ferrycarrig Park.

The game will take place over the weekend of September 9-11, with Youths hoping to make it third time lucky after losing home and away to the Candystripes so far this season in the league.

Historically, Derry have happy memories of their trip to Ferrycarrig for the 2008 League Cup final which they won 6-1.

The stand-out quarter-final draw pitted Wexford men together as Aaron Dobbs and Shamrock Rovers will host Greg Bolger, Kevin O'Connor and their Cork City colleagues.

UCD await the winners of Crumlin United and Dundalk who meet next Tuesday, while St. Patrick's Athletic will host Cobh Ramblers.

Next up for Youths is Friday's home league clash at 8 p.m. with Dundalk who went down fighting last night in the away leg of their Champions League qualifier against Legia Warsaw. They exited 3-1 on aggregate despite a stunning lead goal from Robbie Benson, and now await Friday's Europa League draw with Manchester United as potential opponents.
