Disaster struck for Wexford Youths three and a half minutes into added time in Ferrycarrig Park on Saturday, March 26, when Derry City grabbed the winner in this SSE Airtricity Premier Division clash.

The sides were deadlocked 1-1 when Barry McNamee's free-kick to the far post was met by Rory Patterson whose looping header ended up in the opposite corner of the net.

There was only time for the re-start before the game ended in agony for the home side who had gone behind to a brilliant goal from a Conor McCormack drive to the top left corner in the 69th minute.

Great work down the right by substitute Eric Molloy created Danny Furlong's equaliser with seven minutes left, but there was a late, late twist as Youths endured a third straight home defeat.

Derry had goalkeeper Gerard Doherty to thank for three outstanding saves from Paul Murphy and Danny Furlong twice.
