WEXFORD HURLING side, the Faythe Harriers, are seeking hardy individuals who are prepared to embark a supreme challenge to make funds for the club.
The third annual Pikeman Challenge is an action packed three day event which brings walkers on a 75 km trek across, and emulate the marathon hikes undergone by the men and women of 1798.
This years event takes place between June 4 and June 6, and promises to be an interesting way of seeing the mixed terrain of the Wexford country side.
According to the organisers this is a change to get fit; meet and trek with sorting legends and famous faces; explore one of the most important times of Irelands past and raise money for the Faythe Harriers and the charity of your choice.
This event was launched in Wexford Credit Union Ltd, who are one of the main sponsors, on Friday, March 12. Main speakers on the night included Tom Doyle from Wexford Credit Union, and Paud Browne and Joe Hore from the Faythe Harriers.
