Gaining top marks in the Diploma for Accounting Technicians programme has given a New Ross student a springboard to a career in the sector.

Jessica Curan (21), who scored one of the highest marks in the country last year, has advised others to listen to their friends, after the course gave her the foundation to continue her studies. She heard about the two-year,full-time Accounting Technician Ireland course from a friend at Coláiste Abbáin in Adamstown after she finished school.

'I was thinking of ollege but then my friend mentioned this course and when I looked into it a bit more, I thought it would be perfect for me'. Jessica has just finished her second year degree course exams in Carlow after the ATI qualification allowed her to skip the first year.
