The BNI Falcon Chapter in Gorey, recently celebrated generating €4 million worth of business passed between members since their first meeting on January 26, 2009.

Members of BNI Gorey pass business between other members by word of mouth, referrals across the county, and beyond. The businesses range from an accountant, to an event planner, to a health and wellness expert. The Falcon BNI group tracks and monitors every referral passed between members to ensure they have resulted in a qualified invoiced piece of business.

A spokesperson said the €4 million is particularly striking given the general confidence in business having been devastated by the recession. In this case, the banding together of local business colleagues, taking a great and personal interest in their respective businesses, has demonstrated a success which is too significant to overlook.

BNI was founded by networking expert Dr Ivan Misner in the USA in the mid 1980s, famed globally for having pioneered the business breakfast networking meeting.

BNI Falcon Gorey meets every Tuesday in the Ashdown Park Hotel at 7.15 a.m. For more information see the BNI Gorey Facebook page or visit www.bnigorey.com
