The Wexford Business Summit looks set to be an odds-on favourite with businesses around Wexford, and they will have the bookmaker at the event to prove it!

The summit takes place tomorrow (Wednesday) and boasts an impressive line-up including Paddy Power, Head of Marketing at Paddy Power Betfair, and John Flahavan, the Managing Director of Flahavan's. The event, which takes place in Wexford County Council from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., is free to attend, and is open to the public and to businesses from all over the county.

President of Wexford Chamber, Niall Reck said: 'We are honoured to have Paddy Power at this year's summit and with a presentation titled: '30 years of mischief, mistakes and things they don't teach you in marketing school', entertainment and innovative marketing strategies are guaranteed.'

In addition to that, John Flahavan would, he said, 'be revealing how the well-known family business introduced green principles into their operations and how they work towards the achievement of measurable sustainability targets.'

The popular Google Digital Garage and a revamped version of the 'Angel's Den', where businesses can pitch for a €500 cash prize, will also be on site.

This year, a Meet the Buyer event has been introduced to the summit. Local businesses will have the unique opportunity to meet with the procurement teams from ten large companies from across Ireland, with a view to securing new contracts for their business.

In addition to all of that, a large number of local businesses will be exhibiting on the day, showcasing their wares and services. The summit is organised by Wexford Chamber, sponsored by Zurich Insurance and supported by Wexford County Council, The Sunday Business Post, South East BIC, the EPA, Local Enterprise Office Wexford and Think Print.
