Three young people from County Wexford - Lisa Martin, from Enniscorthy, Christina Howlett, New Ross and Róisín Murphy, Kilmuckridge - are among 69 new recruits to the Bord Bia Talent Academy.

The new recruits are due to take up roles in locations around the world including Mexico, Vietnam, Tokyo, Dubai, New York, Stockholm and the UK.

The Talent Academy features four programmes run in conjunction with UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and gives students the opportunity to gain professional food and drink industry experience while undertaking a Masters programme with UCD.

Lisa and Christina are among 32 International Graduates who will work directly with Bord Bia, placed in Bord Bia Dublin or in one of Bord Bia's network of 14 offices worldwide.

Róisín, a former Wexford footballer, is one of ten recruits who will be placed overseas with multinational food and beverage organisations as an Origin Green Ambassador working to implement the principles of the Origin Green programme into their sustainability plans. Following an immersion and study period of three to five weeks the new recruits will take up their roles around the world, undergoing block release modules with UCD Michael Smurfit for the remainder of the programme.
