A farm shop based in New Ross which stocks numerous Co Wexford food products has been awarded a plaque for championing local producers from Wexford Food Family.

Clodagh Davis of Naturally Cordial and Wexford Food Family presented Jolly and Alex Ronan of Ronan's Full & Plenty Farm Shop, Marshmeadows, with their Wexford Food Family Official Supporter's plaque for 2019. The plaque is awarded to food businesses that go out of their way to support our local food producers here in Wexford.

Jolly said: 'Our customers love that they can get local fruit and vegetables in season and buy other local produce throughout the year from us and that we are buying directly from the food producers. They feel that the closer the relationship between them and the person that grew or produced their food the better. Our customers know the food producers are getting a fair price for their food, supporting them and their families in turn.'

Wexford Food Family is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to growing the food industry in Co Wexford and help to promote Wexford as a food brand locally, nationally and internationally.
