Gorey Chamber of Commerce presented two awards to local businesses last week in Gorey Market House.

CEO of Gorey Chamber Diarmuid Devereux congratulated all those involved in this year's Easter Window competition, but the overall winner was Ruby Rouge on Esmonde Street.

Mr Devereux also presented Wardrobe+ with the Gorey Chamber Outstanding Customer Care and Service Award for the first quarter of 2018. A mystery shopper visited retailers in Gorey to select the winner.

Every quarter a mystery judge contacts a variety of businesses throughout Gorey and north Wexford and assesses them on the level of customer service and the condition of their premises.

Proprietor of Ruby Rouge Niamh O'Sullivan was commended by Mr Devereux for the time and effort put in to their shop's window display at Easter time, and were presented with a certificate.

More than 30 businesses entered the competition and the Chamber said there was a high standard of entries this year.

The Chamber is keen to encourage all businesses to present the town in the best possible light.
