The Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey is starting an innovative nutrition class this month.

The hotel is running Fresh, Raw and Sugar Free food demo classes for participants to learn how to prepare healthy, everyday meals that not only taste amazing but are quick and simple to prepare.

Starting on April 26 and 27 the monthly package and classes will be hosted by qualified award winning chefs Chris Farrell and Val Murphy, Nutrition Consultants Aoife Miskella and Neasa Kenny, (BODHI Clinic, Gorey) and are perfect for people who are just embarking on a healthier eating outlook.

The natural and nourishing two day food classes will explore how you can introduce fresh, raw and sugar free produce into your daily life. Alongside this the classes explore the nutritional value of grass fed beef, eating seasonal produce and the value to lifestyle, health and wellbeing that can bring.

Run over two days the package consists of two nights bed and breakfast, one deliciously seasonal evening meal and three food demonstration classes. Two nights accommodation, breakfast, three classes, lunch and one night dining costs €249 per person. Classes can also be booked separately at €45 per class or €125 for three and includes lunch. There are amazing benefits to eating enzyme rich, plant based foods that are high in minerals and vitamins which not only make you feel better within yourself but also improve your health and as a result, give you a refreshed outlook on food.

A little known fact about cooking fresh foods is that we can destroy the natural enzymes and nourishing nutrients. The classes at the Ashdown are aimed at providing you tips on how to avoid that by providing a shopping list of must have raw, nutrient-rich and naturally sugar free ingredients; explaining how to change over to a healthier diet in an easy and fuss free manner; providing a list of recipes that are simple, mainstream and easy to replicate in your own kitchen; Top tips on the equipment you need to get started to a healthier lifestyle and details on how to use natural and nourishing alternatives to refined sugar, salt, dairy, flour, grains and trans-fats.

Introducing more fresh, raw and sugar free foods into your daily life doesn't have to be boring or bland and the benefits are endless- from aiding effortless weight loss to improving energy, helping address any underlining health conditions.
