Staff from Wexford based IT firm Innovate put the pedal to the metal for a great cause recently as they staged a Cycle for MS in Gorey.

The event saw volunteers from the company hop up on an exercise bike outside of Pettitt's SuperValu on Gorey's Main Street on a busy Saturday afternoon, hoping to attract the goodwill of the public for the cause.

MS Ireland is the national organisation providing information, vital services and support to people with Multiple Sclerosis. They provide a wide range of specialised services and resources on a national, regional and local basis including community worker programmes, one-to-one support, physiotherapy, newly diagnosed sessions and symptom management courses.

The event saw the team cycle 250km and pulled in an impressive €2,200. Those behind the fundraiser wish to thank everyone who contributed and helped out along the way.

The company's fundraising efforts don't end there either. Innovate CEO Jim Hughes and colleague Krisztián Major are set to take on the Gaelforce Great Fjord Swim on October 12 at Killary Fjord. They are actively collecting donations and all money raised will combine with the €2,200 raised through the cycle. To donate visit
