Murphy's Cash & Carry celebrate 90 years in business
Murphy's Cash & Carry has been trading for 90 years, 30 of which have been in New Ross, and to mark the landmark anniversary, the company are giving away €20,000 in prizes.
H. Murphy & Co (E) Ltd have been in business in New Ross for the past 30 years under the management of Jim Callaghan, who has been a loyal member of staff alongside Rory Byrne since taking over the business in 1989.
The company has traded in Arklow for the past 51 years, and on September 4, 2019, they celebrated 90 years in business from their premises in Enniscorthy. The business was founded on September 3, 1929 by Herbert Murphy and has grown with every passing year.
To celebrate this achievement with their customers in all three branches, a draw for various prizes totalling in excess of €20,000 was held. Special offers have been availed of by customers.
The prizes included hotel breaks, One4All vouchers, tickets to the Ireland V Wales match, family hampers and Samsung tablets. Murphy management wish to thank all their loyal staff and customers who have given their time and service to the company over a long number of years as it is thanks to them that the company has grown to where it is today.
