Seafield gets planning for major works

PLANNING permission has been granted for an extension to four star resort Seafield Hotel for a projecting bay, bar and bistro, among numerous other works.

Seafield Hotel Ltd applied for planning permission in late May of this year for numerous works to be carried out.

The hotel, located at Ballymoney Lower, Courtown, was granted planning permission, subject to a number of conditions in late May.

Permission was sought for the development of modifications to the existing hotel building to include a ground floor foyer extension, consist of a projecting glazed bay adjoining to the hotel entrance, an extension to the ground floor bar area consisting of a new projecting bar and bistro extension, with new kitchen facilities and an associated extension to the terraced area.

Planning permission has also been approved for an extended bar and services area, all with associated modifications to the exterior landscaped area at both ground and basement levels, including new external signage to the ground floor terrace.

The planning permission was approved by Wexford County Council planners on July 8.

The hotel, which has a championship golf course, has won numerous awards for its Oceo Spa and attracts guests from Ireland and abroad for its excellent facilities, food and accommodation offering.
