Textile designer Gráinne Kenny from Mount Alexander, Gorey has been exhibiting her artistic pieces at Showcase Ireland in the RDS, Dublin.

Hosted by the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland, the Showcase will run until tomorrow (Wednesday, January 23) and is attended by trade buyers from more than 25 countries worldwide.

Gráinne said this is her third year attending the show and is supported by the Local Enterprise Office in Wexford.

'There are over 450 exhibitors of Ireland's most talented designers and makers, across disciplines such as home and gift, fashion, accessories and jewellery,' said Gráinne.

Gráinne designs a selection of mixed media textile art/pictures and colourful jewellery. She said all her work is inspired by her love for the seashore.

'My work can be viewed and purchased locally at Gorey Visitor Centre and from other stockists in Ireland,' said Gráinne. 'I also welcome commissions to suit individual needs whether it be for a wedding or corporate gift or for personal use.'

For 2019, Gráinne has designed a new collection of Textile Art and Jewellery inspired by sunsets to compliment her existing range.
