Smart energy provider, Pinergy, has appointed Wexford woman, Esme Murphy, as the company's energy advisor to the retail and leisure sectors.

Originally from Bunclody, Ms Murphy, who now lives in Dublin, attended Waterford Institute of Technology and graduated with a Degree in Business with Recreation Management.

Ms Murphy will fill a newly created specialist role and work exclusively within both sectors.

As energy advisor she will be primarily responsible for supporting and advising businesses on how best they can manage, monitor and take control of their energy requirements and costs through the use of Pinergy Smart Energy solutions.

Pinergy offers energy supply and management solutions and in particular works closely with businesses that have multiple outlets such as stores, cafés and gyms.

Pinergy's smart solutions enable such clients to compare their consumption across various sites in one place.

Speaking about Ms Murphy's appointment, Jon Jerromes, Pinergy's Head of Sales, said: 'Esme's appointment represents another important step for Pinergy in building a strong team of specialist energy advisors across particular industry sectors as we grow our business brand on a national scale.'

He said she will play 'a key role' in helping the company develop its work within the retail and leisure sectors.

Ms Murphy will meet directly with customers and prospective clients and offer them specialist advice and knowledge on the solutions best suited to their organisation's needs.

She joined Pinergy in 2018 as the company's corporate sales manager for south Dublin, Wicklow and the south east region.
