A celebratory mode engulfed Clayton Whites Hotel as graduates of CTEC - the Community Training and Education Centre - arrived for their awards ceremony.

The speakers at the event included Deputy Mayor Maura Bell, VTOS Wexford Coordinator Ann Slaven and CTEC Board Member and former CEO of Wexford Chamber Madeline Quirke, all of whom applauded the learners on their success, pointing out the opportunities that lifelong learning can bring.

Graduate Teresa O'Donnell spoke of her own learning journey through CTEC and thanked her tutors and fellow learners for their support, along with the Department of Justice and Equality for funding such a positive training experience.'

At the ceremony, learners received QQI Level 5 certificates in Early Childhood and Education; QQI Level 5 and 6 certificates in Early Childhood Care & Education; QQI Level 6 Special Purpose Award in Training and Development; QQI Level 5 component awards in Healthcare, Childcare and Business Administration and ECDL.
