FAMILY came first to Jeanette Donnelly, who passed away peacefully aged 39 at Wexford General Hospital, following an illness.

Late of Cottage Row, Taghmon, Jeanette is survived by her daughter Bobby Jo; son John; grandson Camron; nieces Cora, Shania, Nykia and Amelia; mother Mary McDonald; grandmother Elsie Donnelly; family and friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather Patrick.

Jeanette grew up in Taghmon, attending St Fintan's NS and Colaiste Abbain, Adamstown. Her maternal, nurturing nature led her to a career in childcare. Having studied childcare she worked in a playschool in the village for many years.

Her daughter Bobby Jo said: 'She loved it and she always loved being around children.'

A huge Michael Jackson fan, Jeanette had a fun loving personality which endeared her to everyone she met. She adored her two children and her grandson and nieces, especially Cora whom she spent a lot of time with.

'They had a bond between them that was unbreakable. She would do anything for you and go out of her way to help people.'

Jeanette loved animals and always had a dog or a cat. She loved watching the CSI television programmes.

Sadly Jeanette fell ill in recent years having fought her illness bravely. She made a recovery, but the illness returned and she had to be admitted to Wexford General Hospital several weeks ago. Her family were a constant source of support and strength to her and she loved nothing more than spending time with them.

She passed away peacefully on July 15 aged 39, less than a month before her 40th birthday. Her passing has left a great void in the lives of all who knew her but her family are comforted by the great memories they have of Jeanette down through the years.

The large crowd which attended Jeanette's funeral mass in Taghmon was testament to the love and respect in which she was held in her community and further afield. She was laid to rest in Taghmon Cemetery. May she rest in peace.
