Unwanted wool - We would appreciate any donations which we would use to make hats, slippers and purses for the annual Shoebox appeal. Donations can be left into the club room of the hall any Wednesday from 11.30 a.m. to midday.

As a final push to our fundraising efforts to secure the future of the Bygone Days Storytelling House, Lower Oulart, we are holding a Jumble sale on July 9 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. which will hopefully help us reach our target. There will be ahuge selection of good quality items on offer, come along and grab a bargain, tea, facepainting for the children and cakes on sale plus many more attractions, come along and help our thatching fund. We are starting to Thatch in August so need to raise the last few euros needed. Thank you all for your help and support since we started fundraising.
Bree ICA will hold a guild meeting on Tuesday, June 20, in Bree Community Centre at 8 p.m. Anyone interested in joining our guild would be very welcome to come along to the meeting.

Bri Beag is holding a coffee morning and cake sale in aid of the wonderful local community resource on Wednesday, June 28, in Bree Community Centre from 9 a.m. till 12.30 p.m. All donations (both baked and monetary) are most welcome. Please come by and support the children's early education and enjoy a coffee and a chat.

Gerald and Kathy Dunne, Merton will host an Open Garden Fundraiser at their home in Merton on Sunday, July 9, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a raffle, plant and produce stall, cake stall, bottle stall and lots more. Adm €3 with tea and treats. All proceeds in aid of Clonmore Church.
Please do not leave bags or boxes of bottles on the ground in front of the recycling units at the front of the Community Centre if the units are full. They end up becoming a litter problem and also a hazard with broken glass. Please do not bring household refuse or any other type of rubbish up to the units as it will not be taken away. The recycling units are a great benefit for the whole community.

Pub Talent Show
A Pub Talent Show will be held on Friday, June 30, in the Millennium Bar, Davidstown kindly hosted by Bill and Joan Nolan in conjunction with the parents' association of Davidstown National School. This should prove to be a great night of entertainment, showcasing local talent.
Tickets for the event are €5 each and will be on sale shortly from members of the parents' association and the School with a great prize of a weekend away up for grabs. All support would be greatly appreciated with all proceeds going towards Davidstown National School funds.
Bree AC News
Congratulations to Aoife Cloke Rochford, who won a gold and a silver medal in the CSIT World Games in Latvia last week. Aoife's gold medal win was in the 100m and her silver medal win was in the 200m. A team of 12 athletes from Leinster represented Ireland at the event and Aoife was the only Co Wexford athlete taking part. Well done to her and to all involved.
Days 2 and 3 of the Leinster Championships took place last weekend in Tullamore for the under-12 to under-19 age groups. Bree AC had a small number of athletes taking part due to a number of reasons. Gracie Kehoe won silver in the 60m Hurdles and Sophie Codd won silver in the 80m hurdles. In the under-14 800M, Conor Doyle won his first Leinster Track and Field medal when he finished in second place. Olivia Howe had a super run in the under-18 200m winning a bronze medal. Other National qualifiers were Sophie Codd in the 250mHurdles and Grace Donohoe in the under-12 Turbo Javelin.
Best wishes this weekend to the under-nine-11 athletes in the national finals on Saturday and to other younger athletes competing in the Co 'B' Championships on this Friday evening in the Hub.
Best wishes to all Bree-Davidstown athletes competing in the Community Games County Finals on Sunday next in the Hub. Athletes are expected to assemble at 9.45 a.m. for the 10 a.m. parade. Competitions begin at 11 a.m.

The Clonard Pilgrimage To Knock is departing Clonard Community Centre at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19, returning on Wednesday, September 20, at approximately 7 p.m. Staying in Knock House Hotel, dinner, B&B €95 pps, twin/double room. €110 single room. Please book your seat with Karen in the parish office with a €20 non-refundable deposit required to book your seat. Minimum numbers required.
St vincent de paul
Church door collection will take place at Masses on the weekend of June 24/25. Your contribution to our collection will help ease the absolute despair of many of the families we visit which has to be experienced to be understood. We cannot always meet all requests received. If you miss any of the collections you can leave your donation into Clonard parish office. Please help us to help others.
The St Vincent de Paul Society will hold a Furniture and bric-a-brac sale in St Michael's Hall, Thomas Street on Friday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds in aid of the society.
The girls are now on their summer break but not before having a fun party night and a trip to Dublin Zoo. The Cygnets also enjoyed a fun beach day, it was in the centre which was full of sunny smiles, rain never stops us having fun. The leaders are working on next September's activities already. So watch out for more news.
Pregnancy Yoga Classes on Wednesday, June 21, at 6.30 p.m. In Clonard Community Centre. Baby Massage Classes on Friday, June 23, at 10 a.m. Both classes are run in blocks of five and cost €70. Congratulations to Wexford on their win over Kilkenny in the Leinster semi-final in Wexford Park, what a win bring on the final. Congratulations to Paul Stweart winner of €299 in this week's split-the-pot, and the seller was Eleanor Browne. Our thanks to everyone who supports the draw weekly. Best of luck to everyone who will take part in the all-Ireland Féile na nGael this weekend which will be held in Wexford.
The annual patron will take place in Oulart on Sunday, June 25, beginning at 2 p.m. There will be prayers in the Old Cemetery at 1.30 p.m. The patron in the Ballagh will be held on Sunday, July 2, beginning at 2 p.m. The four weekend Masses will be offered for all our faithful departed.
The winner of this week's split-the-pot is Shelly Donohoe, who won €128. Please continue to support this fundraiser in aid of the local primary school. Field day.
The Scoil Mochua annual field day will take place on Sunday, June 25, following the patron. This year all funds raised will go towards painting and maintenance of the school building. It is always a very enjoyable day out and there will be the usual array of attractions: bouncy castle and obstacle course, bottle stall, wheel of fortune, barbecue, cake stall, bric-a-brac, hurling, penalty shots, fishing and tea and coffee shop.
Please come and support this worthwhile event while having great fun too.
The pupils of Scoil Mochua will soon be embarking on their annual School Tours. The junior and Senior Infants will visit Kia Ora Farm, Third and Fourth classes will experience Blessington Base Camp East, Fifth and Sixth Classes will visit Glasnevin Cemetery and the National Acquatic Centre.
The End of Year Mass will take place on June 20 at 10 a.m. On June 22 the incoming Junior Infants will be treated to a Teddy Bears Picnic. The school closes at midday on June 23 and the annual field day will take place after the patron on June 25.
On July 9, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., a Jumble Sale will be held at Bygone Days Storytelling House, Lower Oulart. A huge selection of good quality items will be on offer. You are encouraged to come along and grab a bargain. Tea will be available as well as face-painting for the children. Congratulations to Diane Ryan and Anais Curran on recently winning County Poc Fada titles. Both players go forward to the Leinster camogie 'Poc Fada'. competition which will be held in Howth, Dublin, on June 24.
The 'Red and Black' Play and Stay Academy Week one (Saturday, June 3) was a great success with 82 boys and girls aged from four to 10 taking part and having loads of fun.
A big thank you to Ray Harris and the senior hurlers, mentors, parents and guardians who helped out in any way. The Academy is on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and new members are welcome to join. This is a pilot eight-week program and we hope that it will be something that we can continue for many years to come.
Ballagh Patron/field day
The Ballagh Patron will take place as planned on July 2 with prayers beginning in the cemetery at 2 p.m. There will be a 'scaled down' version of the field day in the Community Centre where tea will be served.
The Home produce stall and a 'brick or brack' stall will also be set up in the hall so we would be grateful for any and all donations of trinkets, breads, cakes, buns, jams, etc. to sell on the stalls. The raffle will take place in the community centre and we again appreciate your generosity and hope that the raffle will be well supported.
The next meeting will take place in the community centre on June 27 at 8 p.m. This meeting will be to finalise plans for the patron and field day and anyone who will be available to help on the day is asked to attend.
Ballagh SPLIT THE POT
Congratulations to our recent winners Tony Byrne Snr. €79, Nell Kirwan €66 and Orla Mongan €60. Split the pot has raised over €8000 for the school so far and to celebrate and thank you for your support a special draw will take place this weekend June 24. There will be 3 prizes. 1st prize will split the pot as normal, 2nd prize will be €50 and 3rd prize will be €25.
