It's fun to be fit
THE FAYTHE School was literally a 'hive of activity' recently as 'Active School Week' was well and truly marked. From the minute the gates opened at 8.40 a.m. until the last activities finished well after 'home time' there were any amount of fun things for the children to participate in.
'Healthy Breakfasts' were literally the first order of the day, with Mag's and Caroline's 'smoothies' going down particularly well. Kick boxercise, zumba dancing, skipping, the first signs of 'double dutching', hurling and camógie training, athletics, Mini Olympics for the whole school, walking for adults, a healthy eating talk for parents, supervised activities for all children at lunch-times and fruit picnics all featured in a fun-filled week.
