Photo tour of Wexford
THE South End Photographic Club has transformed the Friary Hall into a one-stop visual tour of scenic Wexford landscapes. Over 18 photographers feature in the exhibition which is open to the public at the weekend and on Bank Holiday Monday.
It seems as though while most of us spent last winter indoors trying to keep warm, these opportunistic photographers braved the elements to capture the beauty of the snowfall on camera. Kathleen Fitzpatrick's ' Snowy Day at the Safe' is one of the many images taken against the back drop of the cold snap.
Local couple Maria and Pat Mahon are something of an artistic duo. Both are members of the photographic club and between them they have six photographs on display! Among them are snapshots of the Tall Ships and Johnstown Castle.
All photographs are on sale for € 50 or unframed for € 25. The photographic club meet on the first Wednesday of every month at the South End Family Resource Centre and are actively recruiting new members.
