It's fair to say that 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' was a defining moment of Kylie Minogue's career. It finally brought the Aussie singer commercial success in the US and cemented her transition from girl next door to a sophisticated recording artist. One of the biggest selling songs of all time, 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' reached number one in every European country (except Finland) and has sold well over seven million copies worldwide to date. Co-written by former Mud guitarist turned successful songwriter, Ron Davis, and the prolific Cathy Dennis, the song was rejected for S Club 7 by Simon Fuller, and then turned down by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, before being snapped up by Minogue on hearing just 20 seconds of the demo.
