A 14-year-old Wexford town girl enjoyed the experience of a lifetime recently when she met her idols Five Seconds of Summer.

Tianna Moore, from Mount Prospect, entered a 2FM/Two Tube competition to win a trip to Atlanta, Georgia to meet the band and enjoy a private concert by them. The international competition run by the band, which was trending under the hashtag #DerpCon, was called A New Broken Scene and for her entry Tianna created a pizza in the shape of a broken heart held together with a safety pin.

Her entry was whittled down to four and in a competition live on 2FM Tianna won the trip to see the band in Atlanta.

She also appeared on RTE2's Two Tube.

Tianna, who is a student in the Presentation College in Wexford, is a massive Five Seconds of Summer fan and her mam Avril Roche said she was over the moon to win the competition. On Friday, October 30, Tianna and her parents Avril and Mark Moore flew to Atlanta for an action-packed few days.

Avril said that on the Saturday Tianna met the band she was beside herself with excitement. Although she loves the band in its entirety, she has a special place in her heart for band member Michael Clifford.

'When she got in to meet the band she just ran up to Michael and started hugging him. I thought she was never going to let him go,' laughed Avril.

'We travelled over with Stephen Byrne of RTE and Stephen Grealy from Universal and it was amazing. Saturday was the main day because we got to meet the band and we also saw them live. We also enjoyed a private concert by them with the other winners of the Derp Con competition from around the world.

Avril said that both she and Mark were just as excited to see the band live. She said the band members were very down to earth and were 'really grounded. When she arrived she flew over to Michael and hugged him for about five or ten minutes and he was so nice. The rest of the band came over to Mark and I and said hello and I got a kiss and a cuddle! They were just really nice lads,' said Avril.

Tianna also managed to sneak a few selfies with each of the band members as well as getting a picture with all four members together.

It's not the first time Tianna has caught a live performance for the band having already seen them twice in Dublin. She has also seen One Direction live and is heading to Dublin next April to see Five Seconds of Summer live again.
