Santa will have no problem making his way to Killinick on Christmas Eve if he follows the lights from the Walsh home.

Michael and Kathleen Walsh along with their daughter Helen have spent the month of November putting up thousands of lights at their home in Trimmer, Killinick to raise money for Temple Street Children's Hospital.

The annual festive fundraiser has lit up the skies around Killinick for the last number of years and is in memory of Helen's daughter Chloe who passed away in 2006 when she was just four years old.

This is the tenth year that the Walsh family have been raising valuable funds for Temple Street and this year the light display will be bigger and better with a number of new light displays taking pride of place in the garden.

The lights will be officially turned on this evening (Tuesday) at 8.20pm by Tony Kehoe of South East Radio.

Helen said that the light display comes with a €700 ESB bill price tag but said that the Walsh family pay for this out of their own pocket so that all donations raised go directly to Temple Street.

All are welcome to visit the house in Killinick to see the fantastic light display.
