Oylegate woman Kerri Stedman and her husband George continued their quest to raise funds and awareness around Ectopic Pregnancy by hosting a coffee morning in Mernagh's of Oylegate. There was a great attendance on the day as people enjoyed a catch-up over a nice cup of tea and some delicious home made cakes and goodies.

An ectopic pregnancy is a life-threatening condition that affects one in 80 pregnancies and sees the fertilised egg implant on the outside of the womb. Having been through an ectopic pregnancy herself, Kerri felt that there very little support available locally for women and she made it her mission to raise funds and awareness for others who were in the same position, as well as providing a friendly ear.

Previously Kerri raised funds for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust by walking over 1,000km over the course of a year and the coffee morning was a continuation of her fundraising mission. Kerri was extremely grateful for the level of support received and the morning raised a total of €460 for the cause.
