The weekly 30 card game continues in the Community Centre on Friday March 26 at 9pm. There is ¤220 in prize money on offer each night. Thanks to the ladies for the teas last week.

Catering on Friday will be Breda Whelan, Deirdre Whelan, Marie Murphy and Bessie Fortune, Rathkyle/Coolnagree. Catering Friday April 2 will be Kathleen Barden, Maura Barden and Siobhan Hynes. Proceeds go to Parish Funds.


There was no winner at the last lotto draw. The winning numbers were 7, 12, 19 and 26. Eight matched 3 numbers:-Nancy Dillon, Eddie Dillon, Jim O'Brien, Anne McInerney, Danny Gorman, Patrice Furlong, Mai Furlong and Sean Whelan.

Next draw will take place Monday night March 29 in Morrissey's Pub, Cassagh. Next draw is worth ¤13,000. All proceeds going to Adamstown FC, GAA and Parish Committee.


The club is holding its Annual Sponsored Run/Walk/Jog on Sunday 28th March at 11.30am. All are welcome to come along and join in the 2 mile from Templenacrow to the Grotto in the Ballagh and back. Sponsorship cards are now in circulation. Please support your local club.


A meeting of Adamstown Cemetery Committee will take place in the Community Centre on this Thursday March 25 at 9pm. All members are asked to attend.


Members of Adamstown ICA, Adamstown Athletic Club and Margo Murphy School of Dancing marched in the Enniscorthy St. Patrick's Parade. Members of the Pike Group travelled to Savannah, Georgia for the St Patrick's Day Parade and Margo Murphy School of Dancing travelled to London to take park in the St Patrick's Day Parade.


Our annual parish Lourdes ticket draw will take place after 10.30am Mass on Easter Sunday April 4. the parish committee are currently visiting every house in the parish with tickets, households may purchase up to four tickets if they choose, tickets cost E5 and it is hoped to send three parishioners to Lourdes with the Diocesan Pilgrimage in May. Your support will be very much appreciated.


Congratulations to our local Variety Group for the show they put on in Taghmon in the tops competition. There was great support from the Adamstown Area and all enjoyed the performances of our young and not so young parishioners. Congratulations to first time producers Lu and Carol on a wonderful show and may it be the the first of many shows in our parish.
