ATHLETIC CLUB The Athletic club is hosting the Leinster Cross Country in Rothwell's field on Sunday 13th November for the third year in a row, around 1500 aspiring young athletes are expected on the day. If you can donate buns or sandwiches, serve teas, park cars or officiate on the day, the club would be grateful of your help. Please contact Marie Louise on 0868327374 or Alma on 0851361772. The weekly "30" Card Game continues in the Community Centre this Friday 21st-october at 9.00 pm. There is €220.00 in prize money on offer each week. Thanks to the ladies for the teas last week. Catering on the night will be: Mary Kirwan, Cait Bradley and Josephine Hendrick – Barrack's Road. Catering for the following Friday 28th October will be: Ann Booth, Nancy Lambert, Betty O'shea and May Larkin Adamstown. Proceeds will be going to the Parish Funds.

The AGM of Adamstown National School Parents Association will take place on Thursday 20th of October at 8.00 pm in the National School. All parents are encouraged to attend the meeting. SEVEN UP FOR ADAMSTOWN

Congratulations to Adamstown Women's Premier Division. The home side recovered from their opening day defeat in Tramore and prove too strong for Killeangh recently. Vincent Bradley would like to say a sincere "Thank You" to all who sponsored him for his parachute jump on 3rd September which took place in Kilkenny. He jumped over 10,000 feet in aid of Waterford Lions Club with all proceeds going to charity. The amount he raised was €1,200.00. ENVELOPE COLLECTION

Following on from last year's successful inter agency approach in promoting positive health related matters, Wexford Local Development, Raheen Family Resource Centre, South West Wexford Community Development Project, GROW, Mental Health Ireland and the HSE are pleased to announce the date and venue for this year's Seminar, which is Thursday 20th October from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm in the Brandon House Hotel. The panel of guest speakers includes Dr Paddy McKiearnan, Marie Keating Foundation, David Hasslacher and Mary McEvoy. The day is free of charge and open to all.
