CARDS: The weekly "30" Card Game continues in the Community Centre this Friday 20thapril at 9.00 pm.

Catering on the night will be Frances Gallagher, Mary J Furlong. Catering for the following next few weeks will be: Friday 27th April – Angela Dooley, Elizabeth Doyle and Catherine Moore. Friday 4thmay – Marie Carthy, Clare Redmond and Derville Moore.

Friday 11th May – Kathleen O'connor, Tina Whelan and Nancy Walsh. Proceeds will be going to the Parish Funds.

Card Winners on Friday 6th April were: Mick & Padge Kehoe, Kathleen Whelan, Ann Lawlor, John Hanley and Matt O'neill.

On Friday night 13th April, Mass was offered in St Abban's Church for the repose of the souls of deceased Card Players, this annual Mass is very much appreciated and helps to remember all those who came from far and wide over the years to enjoy the game and craic that is all part of the Friday night card game, and in doing so helped to supported our Parish financially. May the souls of all these departed rested in peace.


Winning numbers were 6, 8, 14 & 15. There was no jackpot winner and there were no match three winners. The next draw is worth €8,600.00 and the seller of the winning ticket will receive €860.00. The next draw will take place in the Outhouse Lounge, on Monday 23rd April. All proceeds go to Adamstown FC, Adamstown GAA and The Parish Committee.


The Adamstown ICA Guild is holding their monthly meeting on Wednesday 18th April at 8.00 pm in the Community Centre. The competitions on the night are as follows: a Summer Photo and a home made Apron.


Drama and Comedy Sketch – Adamstown took the bronze medals and they were represented by Craig Bradley, Steven Coady and Seanie O'neill. Well done Lads.


The Shamrock Vintage Club is holding a cabaret in Scullys Bar, The Maudlins, New Ross on Saturday 5th May at 9.00pm where the proceeds from the Pat Byrne Memorial Road Run will be handed over to New Ross and Enniscorthy Community Workshops. Music and food will be provided and everyone is welcome.


Congratulations to Leo Booth, Christina Mackey, Bridget Thorpe who won the Lourdes trip tickets. A thanks to all the parish Committee who sold the tickets and thanks everyone for their support.


Daily Mass at 9.30 am (unless otherwise stated). adoration from every Monday to every Friday at 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm.


Congratulations to Pat Walsh, Tomgarrow who celebrates his 60th birthday on Sunday 15th April and to his Mother May, Mary Street, New Ross on her 90thbirthday. Nine of the Walsh family will be present for this family celebration joined by grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pat's brother Fr John Walsh who is Missionary in Mexico City and who is home for the occasion will be joined by their mother and all the family at Mass in St Augustine's Church, New Ross to mark the occasion on Sunday. Beannacht De oraibh go leir.


The Congregation at Masses this weekend will be addressed by Mrs Monica Gahan of the Diocesan Adoration group who will be promoting Eucharistic Adoration. Canon Noel Hartley PP, Adamstown 1979-1990 first introduced Eucharistic Adoration in St Abban's Oratory 32 years ago. Approximately one dozen people participate in Adoration in the Parish every week passed to their eternal reward, may they rest in peace. Hopefully new volunteers might consider coming once a week to spend one hour watching with the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, in this historic year of the Eucharistic Congress.

Date for your Diary:- Ellie Walsh and Family will hold a Tea Day in aid of the Alzheimer's Society on Saturday 5th May from 1pm - 5pm at their home in Tomgarrow. There will also be a hand-knitted display of well-loved comic & cartoon characters like Denis the Menace, Yogi Bear, Rupert and lots more to see. Everyone welcome.


The Community Centre Committee will be holding a development meeting on Thursday 19th April at 8.45pm. Any Clubs are requested to send at least one person to the meeting.
