Tea/Coffee Morning

There will be a tea/coffee and bake sale morning on Sunday 15th March in Murrintown community centre in aid of Punchestown kidney research -all are welcome doors open at 9am.

Community Games

The Community Games Area Swimming finals which will be held in Ferrybank Swimming Pool on Sunday 15th March at 4.15pm sharp. Entry fee €3 per child. U8 and U10 - one length, U12, U14 and U16 two lengths of pool. The ethos of Community Games is based on participation and fun, children of all abilities are welcome to participate so come along and swim in the area finals. Community Lotto

There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €9,600.The winning numbers were 10,20,21,23. Congratulations to the 2 match 3 winners who each receive €150. The winners were Darren O'Grady, Kathleen Maloney. The next jackpot stands at €9,900 and the draw will take place on Tuesday 10th March at 8:30pm.

Table Quiz

Duncormick Area Action Group and Tidy Towns Committee will hold a table quiz in Sinnott's Pub Duncormick on Wednesday March 11th at 9pm. Table €20. Proceeds in aid of River walk development.

Family Mass

Be sure to share in our family Mass on Sunday, 29th March, in Rathangan Church to celebrate the triumphal entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem-better known as Palm Sunday. What better way to celebrate this feast than in our recently renovated and vibrant Church. We look forward to seeing you there.

SOUTH EAST STROLLERS

The strollers continue to meet every Monday except bank holidays at 7pm from Rathangan Hall for a stroll and chat followed by a cuppa. All welcome to join us any night.

St Patrick's Day Parade

Carrig on Bannow village are holding their 6th St Patricks Day Parade this year. We have had 5 very successful parades so far and hope to make this one another great year. It will leave from the school field at 2pm sharp. All entries welcome-the young, the old, the brave and the bold. So come along and dress up for the day.

Vintage or nostalgic-put a float together and just turn up on the day as there's no need to book. There is no charge but donations would be welcome and we hope to see you there. For more details contact Shay on 087 990 9692, Marie on 087 9709901 or Nora on 085 8635445.

Sympathy

We extend sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Sean Goodison, Johnstown, Duncormick who died during the week. May he Rest In Peace. The Parish Hall Committee would like to extend sincere sympathy to Mai Gaynor, Ballyshelin, Trinity on the death of her brother John Breen last week. May he Rest In Peace.

Walking Group

Over the winter months, walkers have continued to walk on Forth Mountain every Saturday morning and the group has gone from strength to strength. With the stretch in the evenings, walkers are eager to resume the mid-week evening walks, and with that in mind, a meeting will be held in Cleariestown Community Centre on Monday 23rd March at 8pm to discuss the season ahead. All walkers are encouraged to attend and new people who may be interested are most welcome.

In the meantime, the venue for Saturday 14th March is Kilmore Quay, meeting in the car park beside the playground at 10am. Saturday 21st March: Forth Mountain, meeting at the forestry entrance near The Regal Lodge at 10am.

The Golden Eagles

The Golden Eagles played Blackwater this week with Aidan Colfer winning the weekly game. The monthly results were John Colfer 1st, Eamon Beck 2nd and Aidan Colfer coming 3rd. We are in Rathaspeck next Sunday at 9am.

TrANNE'Sformation 5k/10k

St Anne's Cóiste na nÓg 5km/10km Walk/Run will take place on Sunday 29th March at 11.30am. Entry Fee Individual €10 (over 16 only)-(free to Operation TraANNE'Sformation Participants). Entries will be accepted on the day. The Route will run from Rathangan Walking Track-Railway Crossing-Graiguesallagh-Knocktown Cross-Robinstown-Rathangan Walking Track (5km =1 Circuit-10km =2 Circuits)

Ladies Club Fundraiser

The Ladies Club would like to thank the volunteers for your help with their recent fundraiser in Pettits and those who bought tickets, it was much appreciated. The total profit raised over the 3 days was €1,214. This money will help the club greatly throughout the year ahead.

Kiilrane Ns 50/50 Club

The Kiilrane National School 50/50 Club Lottery draw took place on Thursday 26th February and the winning ticket was 096, with a prize of €1,280. Congratulations to our February winner Mark Doyle. St Helens Bay Golf Club

The new Bay View bar and restaurant opens on Saturday March 7th. Paddy Carroll and his team extends an open invitation to all to come down, have a pleasant meal or drink and sit back and enjoy the beautiful vista of St Helens Bay.

Captain Aidan and Lady Captain Bernie have their traditional drive in on Saturday March 14th. at 11.00am, followed by a 9 hole scramble. We will finish just in time to see the Ireland/Wales rugby, so we look forward to an enjoyable day with all members.

Charity Cycle

Kilrane Rosslare Harbour Tops Community Group will hold a Charity Cycle on Sunday 15th March. This is the rescheduled date for this cycle which was cancelled due to bad weather!!

Routes: 30km Kilrane NS to Whitford and return Kilrane NS; 50km Kilrane NS to Oylegate and return Kilrane NS; 100km Kilrane to Ferns and return Kilrane NS.

Registration is €20 per person and begins at 9.30am at Kilrane School. Cycle starts at 10.00am sharp. Refreshments served before and after cycle. Support your local Tops/Community Group. A great fun and healthy way to spend a Sunday morning.

Active Retirement

The next meeting will be on Tuesday 7th April, 2015 at 3 pm. At the Hotel Rosslare. The committee meeting will be at 2 pm.

2015 ARA Holiday: This year the holiday will be to the Castle Hotel, Macroom, Co Cork, on 31st August, 2015, with Joe O'Brien. Prices for 5 days/4 nights are €315 PPS and €355 single. Annual Subscriptions: The Annual Subscription for 2015 has been set at €20 and is now due; please pay as soon as possible..
