The St Fintans GAA lotto now stands at €10200 and tickets can be purchased in the local shops,club grounds on Tuesday evenings from 8pm and from club members at a cost of €1.50. There is also a match three prize of €300 up for grabs each week and Paddy Kelly and Vincent Radford shared in this prize last week with the following numbers drawn 14,15,21,25. The St Fintans golfing society will get the new season underway on March 21st at 10.30am at Rosslare golf club and the second outing will be held at New Ross golf club on April 11th with the first tee off time also at 10.30am.

Fun Family Table Quiz
The Coiste U14's and St Fintan's Ladies U14's are holding a Fun Family Table Quiz on Sunday 22nd March in Our Lady's Island Community Centre at 3pm. Tables of 4 cost 20euro, both adults and children welcome. Refreshments served on the day. All money raised will go towards Feile Peil 2015. All support welcome
The Ballycogley Players brought the 52nd Wexford Drama Festival to a close with the Dun Mhuire Theatre packed to its rafters.The "Players"gave a performance of the Ray Cooney ,John Chapman penned hilarious comedy "There goes the Bride"fit to close any festival of drama. The group was rewarded when the festival adjudicator announced that Sean Carty was nominated for best actor and Con Doyle for best supporting actor and Breda Hayes for best director,the group won the audience cup and finished third overall. Hot on the heels of the Wexford result word came from Kildare that the group had finished third overall and that Con Doyle won best supporting actor. The group will next perform at Carnew on March 20th and New Ross on March 21st. The group in its 40th year would once again like to thank our loyal supporters and sponsors.
St Fintan's gaa
Following on his tremendous sucesses on the point-to-point circuit Mayglass and St Fintans man Jamie Codd stepped onto the big stage and did not disappoint steering home Cause of Causes in the Toby Balding National Hunt Chase and the package in the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup Handicap chase for amateur riders at the Cheltenham Festival of racing. Well done Jamie.
Congratulations to parishioners and St Fintans supporters Doris Kelly and Jim Ryan both of whom were honoured at the recent Wexford District Awards for club person of the year. Jim was honoured by his former club St Annes and Doris received the award on behalf of St Fintans.
Once again the St Fintans senior football team fielded a weakened side when they traveled to take on Gusserane in what was their second game of the All County football league Div.1. The 5-10 to 1-3 defeat was a true reflection of how they played and will need to improve greatly if they are to be a force in this years senior championship.
Congratulations to Emily Coakley who scored two points for the Wexford u-16 ladies in their 2-11 to 0-8 victory over Offaly in the Leinster championships.
St Fintans Ladies
The u-10,u-12 and u-14 ladies of the St Fintans football club will take part in the St Patricks Day parade and will meet up on Batt street(near senator windows)at 10am and will be collected in redmond square (opposite McCauleys)after the parade. We ask that you give these young stars a big cheer as they march along.
Kilmore Quay ICA notes
Thanks to all who attended or helped at the Kilmore Quay ICA fundraising breakfast, last Sunday.

Indoor bowls league
The county Active Retirement Association indoor bowls league commenced during the week with Kilmore ARA hosting Oulart at the Stella Maris Centre, Kilmore Quay on Wednesday 11th . The afternoon turned out to be a very enjoyable one for both teams and supporters and after the home team led at the half way point the visitors finished very strongly to win the tie.
Kilmore were represented by Margaret Howlin, Anne Lawless, Noel Howlin and Mike Richards while Oulart were represented by Bridie Nolan, Joan Roche, David Newman and Jim Kinsella. Margaret, Pam, Anne and Mag provided a welcome "cuppa" after the game which was much appreciated. In the coming week Kilmore will be at home again on Thursday 19th to Gorey ARA at the Stella Maris Centre at 2pm.
Active Retirement news
Activity for Kilmore Active Retirement Association members in the week of 16th March is as follows: Monday 16th Tenpin bowling at Leisuremax at 11am. On Wednesday the members will enjoy their annual Spring Lunch and Social at Danby Lodge while the bowling league match with Gorey will be on Thursday 19th at 2pm. We would welcome any new members or anybody interested to attend any of these events and get a flavour of what activity we take part in.
The Murrintown Community Centre AGM will be held on Wednesday 15th April at 8pm. All are welcome.

Vehicle Road Run
The Forge Vintage Club will hold a all vehicle road run this Sunday 22nd March. We will be leaving Foulksmills Village and heading in the direction of Adamstown and back to Foulksmills where we will receive a hot dinner on return in the Oak Tree Bar. Registration will take place from 12 o clock. All vehicles are welcome. All proceeds will go towards local charities. The strollers continue to meet every Monday except bank holidays at 7pm from Rathangan Hall for a stroll and chat followed by a cuppa. All welcome to join us any night.

Over the winter months, walkers have continued to walk on Forth Mountain every Saturday morning and the group has gone from strength to strength. With the stretch in the evenings, walkers are eager to resume the mid-week evening walks, and with that in mind, a meeting will be held in Cleariestown Community Centre on Monday 23rd March at 8pm to discuss the season ahead. All walkers are encouraged to attend and new people who may be interested are most welcome.
In the meantime, the venue for Saturday 21st March is Forth Mountain, meeting at the forestry entrance near The Regal Lodge at 10am.
St Anne's Cóiste na nÓg 5km/10km Walk/Run will take place on Sunday 29th March at 11.30am. Entry Fee Individual €10 (over 16 only)-(free to Orperation TraANNE'Sformation Participants). Entries will be accepted on the day. The Route will run from Rathangan Walking Track-Railway Crossing-Graiguesallagh-Knocktown Cross-Robinstown-Rathangan Walking Track (5km =3D 1 Circuit-10km =3D 2 Circuits)
