The weekly '30' Card Game continues in the Community Centre this Friday 20th March at 9pm. Thanks to the ladies for the teas last week. Catering on 20th will be Bridget O'Gorman, Ann Stafford, Kay Whelan & Agnes Whelan. Catering on Friday 27th will be Rita Furlong, Catherine English and Bernie Power. Proceeds going to Parish Funds. Card winners on Friday 6th were: Michael Kavanagh, Pat Ryan, Sean Cullen, Johnny Nolan, Phil Jackman, Ray Rochford, Josie Barden, Mick O'Hanlon, Matty Sullivan & Pat Murphy. If you have a child due to start in Adamstown National School in the next school year and have not already enrolled your child, please phone 053-9240694 to have an enrolment form sent out to you. Alternatively call to the school office to collect one. Enrolments must be returned to the school by the end of March.
Concert in Church
The Parish Committee is currently organizing a Concert, which will take place in St. Abban's Church on Sunday 29th March at 7.30pm. The religious themed show will have a variety of performers, choirs, individuals, musicians both children and adults. Admission is €10 Adults, Children Free. Door prizes and all proceeds going to Parish funds. Further details in the coming weeks.
The Centre continues to be a focal point of our Community serving many associations, sporting groups and Community groups alike. Over the last number of years we have seen significant improvements, notably the new walking Track, Internal refurbishments and more recently the addition of a new roof.
We do however need the continued support from all of you if we are to keep the centre going. If you have an interest in helping the existing management, we want to hear from you. We will have an open meeting on Wednesday 18th March at 9pm to discuss 2015 plans and the management of the centre going forward. Dermot Hynes Sec.
Shamrock Vintage Club
The Shamrock Vintage Club will hold its annual Pat Byrne memorial tractor run on Sunday April 5th starting at 1pm in St Abbans Hall car park. Registration will take place from 12 noon.
The run will take in the following townslands The Leap, Raheenduff, Chapel, Coolnacon, Ballagh, Templenacrow, Moores Cross, Kathys Cross, Donamore, Old Ross, Moorfields, Courthoyle, The Boola, Tomgarrow, The Barracks and back to Adamstown. Refreshments will be served following the run in the Community Centre.
All proceeds from the run will be going to local charities, everyone welcome on the day and all support will be greatly appreciated. The Club would like to congratulate Phil Jackman on his award that he collected in the Horse and Hound on Tuesday night
Hard Luck to both Adult and U14 teams who lost on their opening matches, Adamstown Lost to Clonee in 1st round of League 5-13 0-8 and U14's lost to St Brigids 5-2 to 2-2.

Sponsored Walk - we are also are having a sponsored walk on Good Friday from 4-6pm starting at Carrigbyrne Picnic Area, with refreshments afterwards, sponsorship cards are out so please support the girls.
25 athletes from Adamstown A.C. travelled to Athlone last weekend for the Juvenile Leinster Indoors. Laurence Power came 2nd in the U12 Boys Shot Putt and he came 3rd in the U12 Boys High Jump. Marguerite Furlong came 1st in the U16 Girls Shot Putt. Clodagh Walsh came 3rd in the U17 Girls High Jump. Ryan Carthy Walsh came 1st in the U17 Boys High Jump and also set a new Championship Best Performance of 1m 98 cm. Ryan came 2nd in the U17 Boys Long Jump.
Also making it into the finals - Ben Wall 4th in U12 Boys 600m, Robert Wall 6th in U12 Boys 600m, Robert Wall 7th in U12 Boys 60m Hurdles, Eadaoin Stafford 6th in the U15 Girls Shot Putt, Shannon Wall 7th in U17 Girls 60m and Annalise Creane 8th in U17 Girls 800m. Well done to all those who travelled to Athlone and participated.
Congratulations to Joe Mooney who managed to get the Adamstown singlet on the podium in the Isle of Man by coming 2nd in the U17 Boys 5k Race Walking Grand Prix. He did this in a time of 25.01.
Well done to the Abban O'Rahilly Minor Football Team on the 2nd consecutive victory in the Premier Championship. The combined Adamstown/Gusserane team recorded a 2-9 to 1-6 victory over the Shelmaliers on their home ground at Hollymount on Sunday last.
Good Counsel Success
Congratulations to Sean Barden, Tomas French and Liam Stafford on securing a Senior Leinster Football "A" Championship Title win against St Mary's Edenderry on Saturday 7th March with a scoreline of 0-13 to 0-11. The victory ended a 16 year wait for the Good Counsel.
Also to James O'Shea on securing a junior "A" Football South Leinster School victory over St Peter's College on Tuesday 3rd March. The final score of 2-8 to 1-4 earned the 15th southern title for the Counsel in 23 years. Well done on these achievements and representing our local club at this level.

Saint Patrick's Day: The Vigil Mass at 7.00 p.m. on Monday, 16th March will be the Irish Mass. Masses on Saint Patrick's Day at 9.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m.
Remembrance Service: Wexford General Hospital's Paediatric Unit (St Gabriel's Ward) is holding its first Service of Remembrance for families who have experienced the death of an infant or child. This service will take place on Saturday, 21st March at 3.00 p.m. in Church of the Annunciation, Clonard, Wexford. All parents/families and children are warmly invited to attend this special service along with staff of Wexford General Hospital who have cared for children/infants who have died. Following the service, parents are invited to join hospital staff and other parents for light refreshments in the adjoining parish centre.

Wexford Town I.C.A.
Next meeting is on Thursday, 19th March at 7.30 p.m. in Coolcotts Community Centre. Please note: there are three competitions. A poem entitled The Wonder of Childhood-fourteen lines. The March Lunch is in Kelly's Hotel, Rosslare, at 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 18th March. Art Classes will resume, in Clonard, at the end of March. The April lunch will be held in the Bailey Restaurant in Enniscorthy, on Wednesday, 15th April at 1.00 p.m., Names and money will be taken after the March AGM on Wednesday, 25th March. Our Junior hurling game versus Davidstown was called off due to a bereavement and unplayable pitch, this game will be refixed at future date, our next hurling league game is next Sat away to Gusserane.
Our U21 hurlers who are playing in the premier grade this year have drawn Rathnure , the game will be on Good Friday evening at 6pm in Rathnure.
Lotto Jackpot was'nt won last week, there were four match three's, the numbers were 11, 15, 26, 29. Next lotto draw on Tuesday 25th in the center ,and Jackpot will be €5000.
The final of the Tops will take place this Friday night at 8pm, so get your tickets early for a great nights entertainment.

Athletic club news
A great weekend for the club in Athlone for the Indoor Leinster championships. Aisling Kelly 1st in the U13 long Jump and 4th in the high jump just missing out on 3rd place in count back. Dearbhla O'Hanlon finished 7 in the U13 high jump with a new PB clearing 1:20m and also had a new PB in the long jump. Padraig Hore took silver in the boys U16 shot putt.
Hannah Roche Kelly had a good weekend also reaching the final of the U14 hurdles and the semi final of the 60m sprint, she also had a great result in her long jump finishing 9th setting herself a new PB. Muireann Hore set herself a new PB in the girls U 14 shot putt.
Brónagh O'Hanlon u15 took 7th in the shot putt and ran well in the 60m sprint and long jump. Orlaith O'Hanlon had a good weekend in her first individual Leinster championships taking part in the shot putt and setting a new PB she also took part in the long jump and 60m sprint.
Chloe O'Toole also competing in her first individual Leinster Championships preformed very well progressing to the semi final of her 60 m sprint and set a new PB in the long Jump. She also had a good run in the 600m yesterday.
We have 4 out of 10 athletes progressing to the All Ireland Indoor Championships later in March. Well done to all our athletes keep up the great work.
Congratulations to Caoimhe Kelly and Molly O'Gorman from st. Garvans N.S. who gave up 14 inches of their hair for the Rapunzel Foundation. They managed to raise a total of €571, including €122 from the school pupils, for the association.
Clodagh Dunne took the huge step up to the Adult Circuit last weekend in the Forza Ulster Open. She reached the semi finals of the Ladies Singles and came Runner up in the Ladies Doubles Final. Clodagh due to her hard work and her winning ways has been selected on the U15 Leinster Team, U17 Leinster Team travelling to England,and the U17 Inter provincial Team. Also selected on the Inter Provincial Teams are James Mackenzie U15, Edward Cousins on the Premier Inter Pro Team.
The club would like to extend a huge congratulations to our U13 players who were selected to represent Wexford on the U13 County B Team. These young stars made their first appearance in the big arena last weekend. They had a very long day with lots of games being played. They kept trying and were awarded for their efforts by winning the Division 3 Title.
The team was managed by Margaret O'Regan and was made up of the following future stars John Crosbie, Paddy Nolan, Mikey O'Regan ,Molly Redican, Libby O'Brien. Chloe Carroll, Lara Murphy. These are amazing results for the Club and we should be very proud of our talented players and their hard work.
FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE
Date for your diary: Wednesday 25th March will be our coffee morning at the Centre in conjunction with Daffodil Day from 10:30am to 12:30pm. All are welcome to attend.
The Wednesday's Women group will be doing a hairstyling session if any lady would like to come along.
